দিনাজপুরের হাকিমপুর উপজেলায় বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলন চলাকালে দুই শিক্ষার্থীকে হত্যার মামলায় অনিক সিদ্দিকী (৩০) নামে স্বেচ্ছাসেবক লীগের এক নেতাকে গ্রেপ্তার করেছে পুলিশ। গতকাল বৃহস্পতিবার দিবাগত রাত দেড়টার দিকে তাঁকে উপজেলার খট্টা ইউনিয়নের রায়ভাগ গ্রামের নিজ বাড়ি থেকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়।
গ্রেপ্তার অনিক সিদ্দিকী রায়ভাগ গ্রামের আলম হোসেনের ছেলে। তিনি স্বেচ্ছাসেবক লীগের খট্টা ইউনিয়ন শাখার সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক। আজ শুক্রবার দুপুর সাড়ে ১২টার দিকে তাঁকে দিনাজপুর আদালতের মাধ্যমে কারাগারে পাঠানো হয়েছে বলে প্রথম আলোকে জানিয়েছেন মামলার তদন্ত কর্মকর্তা উপপরিদর্শক আরিফুর রহমান।
মামলার এজাহার সূত্রে জানা গেছে, ৫ আগস্ট বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের সময় সাবেক পৌর মেয়র জামিল হোসেনের বাড়িতে আগুন জ্বালিয়ে আসাদুজ্জামান নূর ওরফে সূর্য (১৭) ও মুহতাসিম নাঈম (১৭) নামের দুই শিক্ষার্থীকে হত্যা করা হয়। এ ঘটনায় আসাদুজ্জামান নূরের বড় ভাই মো. সুজন গত ১৯ আগস্ট সকালে হাকিমপুর থানায় একটি হত্যা মামলা করেন। মামলায় আসামি হিসেবে দিনাজপুর-৬ (হাকিমপুর) আসনের সাবেক সংসদ সদস্য শিবলী সাদিক, সাবেক উপজেলা পরিষদ চেয়ারম্যান হারুন উর রশিদ, পৌর মেয়র জামিল হোসেনসহ ২৩ জনের নাম উল্লেখ করা হয়। এ ছাড়া ওই মামলায় আরও ৯০ থেকে ১০০ জনকে অজ্ঞাতনামা আসামি করা হয়।
হাকিমপুর থানার উপপরিদর্শক ও মামলার তদন্ত কর্মকর্তা আরিফুর রহমান প্রথম আলোকে বলেন, বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের সময় দুজনকে হত্যা মামলার তদন্তের পর সংশ্লিষ্টতা আসায় গতকাল রাতে আসামি অনিক সিদ্দিকীকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়েছে। আজ শুক্রবার দুপুরে আসামিকে দিনাজপুর আদালতের মাধ্যমে জেলহাজতে পাঠানো হয়েছে। হাকিমপুর থানায় ওই হত্যা মামলায় এ পর্যন্ত ১১ জন আসামিকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়েছে বলে জানান আরিফুর রহমান।
